Short summary
Toy example is an important toys for illustrating intuitions of algorithms in generative modeling. However toy example itself might contains inductive bias by researchers.
Why is this technically valuable?
There's no novel methods in here, only some guidance and training tricks in diffusion based models, in the 2d toy setting, but the introduced toy example itself is interesting and might reflect something in the real image-based generation.
