IMPORTANT: this PR also contains all the changes from the PR #609. Do not merge this before reviewing and merging the previous PR.
In this branch I deleted the old and unused example folders (cris_vis, local_files, local_streamgraph, linkedcat, list_only).
Then I deleted the code these examples used (e.g. the sort buttons, the file dropdown).
Finally, I created new examples: viper, covis and triple.
