Scribble Strips - How fast can they be updated? Metering - GR ?

First is a question:
Scribble Strips
How fast can they be updated?
What is the resolution?

Would it be possible... once Gates/Compressors are fully implemented, to have signal metering on the scribble strip? Showing how much GR is currently happening, handy to know without flicking back to the main screen as a quick visual reference point.

Maybe some other live data/information being rendered to the scribble strips other than just the Ch names.

We can just send text to them or display one of the known images on them (it's fixed in the firmware of the fader boards)

With the small text size we can fill the LCD (4 rows of text). But the text buffer is not endless, if you transmit too much text, the buffer overwrites itself on the LCD.

Updaterate is okish, maybe 5 fps?

Some day in the future we want to implement our own firmware for the fader boards -> #52
with that we maybe able to do graphics

If you want to play around with it -> boot OpenX32 and go to the Settings Page and change the LCD-Mode :-) Now you see much more data and can feel the update rate yourself
