Garbage on the margin with reduced paper size

Hi,
this very old issue is still present.

I found this behavior by printing an actual A5 paper with my Samsung ML-1520. Here is a test file, and here is the photo of the printed result (see the garbage on the left margin).

My OS is Debian stable with Gnome.

*QPDL SpecialBandWidth: True
to the ppd file of your printer. You need to run the latest git master version.

Remove printer from CUPS, add it again using ppd/ml1520.ppd PPD file.

Unfortunately I have garbage on both sides now...

There are several differences compared to Samsung ULD driver for this printer:

• ULD sends Printable WxH in 300dpi values (for all models? Check this later.)
• If no variableBandwidth flag is set in cupsModelNumber, ULD sends banded data 4960 px width (A4) for 600dpi, regardless of the page size (H_resolution * 4960 / 600), with the image data on the left (not centered).
• Bandwidth alignment should be = 32 (all non-variable band models)
• Third "unknown byte" is 1 (it's colorplanes)
• ptr_table in ULD always start with 1..8 values, even if the band is not id=0 (if white lines have been skipped)

That's why, @Stemby, please try to print each of the fix*.qpdl files in the archive.

cat fix_1.qpdl > /dev/usb/lp0
or
cat fix_1.qpdl > /dev/lp0

depending on your distro.
