Interrupted Scan cant be resumed/cancelled - Stacks not placed evenly

I started a scan with MF and 3/5 stacks. After about 60 pictures, the scan suddenly stopped. (IMX519 )
The logs didnt give any information. After about 10 minutes, it was just said that the device is not connected anymore.
Neither a reboot (software) nor reset on the device itself helped. The scan was still not cancelable.

In addition, the stacks weren placed evenly within the focus range which set from 7.5 - 9.5.
It took 3 pictures but 2 of them with the same focus setting.

Thanks for your detailed report and the logs provided on discord! And thank you for your kind words.

PR #55 fixes the issue with non-cancelable / non-resumable interrupted scans. Said PR also fixes a bug in the logging system, which may have caused the focus stacking issues. In addition, logging should now be richer and meaningful.

Regarding the device becoming unreachable and the scan getting stuck: Unfortunately, it seems that we don't have enough information to pinpoint what happened in this specific case, since the (buggy) logs didn’t capture any useful error before the disconnect. Without additional diagnostics it’s hard to reproduce or confirm a root cause. Therefore, I will mark this issue as solved for now.

If you hit the “device unreachable + scan stuck” situation again on the latest release, please reopen this (or open a new issue). Hopefully, we can investigate with better logging data if it happens again.
