Q: What is AwesomeBot?
A: AwesomeBot is a utility Discord bot written in NodeJS, utilizing the Discord.js API framework. It provides a vast collection of helpful and fun commands. If you competent in JavaScript programming, you can create custom commands for your server in AwesomeBot’s extension page in the Admin Panel. �Please refer to the Extension API wiki page for details.

A: 3.4.3
Q: Why is AwesomeBot not responding to commands?
A: The common answer is that AwesomeBot is down. You can check the “AwesomeBot Status”:“http://status.awesomebot.xyz” page for uptime status. If the bot is down, here are some reasons why it may be down.
Q: Why is AwesomeBot down? When will it be back?
A: There are a lot of factors that may cause AwesomeBot to be down. The most common ones are:
- Routine bot or server maintenance.
- Discord API is broken.
- A discord.js 8.x bug. This will be fixed in AwesomeBot v4.
Most downtime cases, AwesomeBot just needs to be restarted; however, not all of us have server access to do this. So unfortunately, an ETA on when AwesomeBot will be back up is not possible in most downtime cases. We have monitors set up to alert us when it is down, so please do not spam our official Discord chat with downtime alerts. We will get AwesomeBot back up as soon as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience. You can always refer to the “AwesomeBot Status”:“http://status.awesomebot.xyz” page for uptime status.
P.S.: We are always working on making AwesomeBot as stable as possible. Sometimes, that requires major code changes and refactoring. Other times, it requires infrastructure changes. These things won’t happen overnight. If you are interested in helping or have ideas for improving AwesomeBot, please post them up in our Discord server.
Q: Do you accept donations?
A: No.
Q: How do I access the Admin Panel?
A: Direct message AwesomeBot with config <ServerName>, replacing <ServerName> with the name of your server. Do not include the wrapping < and >.
Q: Why do I get Error saving changes in the Admin Panel?
A: The most likely cause is that you got timed out. The Admin Panel times out after a certain period of time for security reasons. To solve this, refresh the page or click the Log Out button at the top right. Then ask AwesomeBot for a new URL.
Q: Can AwesomeBot play music? If not, will this feature be added?
A: AwesomeBot cannot play music as of version 3.x and there are no plans to add this feature into 3.×. This feature is planned for the upcoming 4.0 version; however, no ETA is provided at this time.
