@tvancott42 tvancott42 released this 25 Jun 05:43

Smarter Wi-Fi channel planning, configurable temperature and SFP alert thresholds, and a round of ISP Health improvements. See v1.22.0 release notes for the bigger picture.

What's New

  • Address search on maps - Search an address to jump there on the Speed Test and Signal maps, with zoom improvements. (#887, #888)
  • Satellite imagery toggle - Switch the maps between street and satellite views. (#888)
  • More cable modem support - Added the Netgear CM2050V, plus a CM700 auth fix for gateways that need an anti-CSRF cookie primed. (#883, #881)
  • More accurate ISP Health - Loaded latency and loss now align with WAN rate windows, and brief loaded-event edges are captured via window dilation. (#875, #882)
  • Threat Intelligence accuracy - Disabled port-forwarding rules are no longer counted as exposure. (#886)
  • Adaptive SQM - Stopped flagging the firmware regression on gateways that are already patched. (#884)

Wi-Fi Optimizer

  • Smarter channel recommendations - Fixes and improvements to the physical interference model behind channel planning, with better per-AP channel moves. (#890)
  • Stable suggestions between scans - Marginal channel suggestions no longer flicker on and off as conditions shift slightly between scans. (#893)
  • Overview auto-refresh - The Overview tab refreshes itself when its data goes stale instead of showing old numbers until a manual reload. (#895)

Monitoring

  • Configurable temperature and SFP alert thresholds - Switch and gateway high-temperature alerts are now configurable per device type (Monitoring -> Device Stats), and the per-transceiver-type SFP thresholds (PON / Active Ethernet / generic SFP+) are editable (Monitoring -> SFP Stats) instead of hard-coded. Each falls back to the built-in default when unset. (#894)
  • ISP Health improvements - Detects brief and partial-loss disruptions, more accurate congestion scoring, a clearer timeline, and faster data loading (initial load and when switching tabs). (#891)

Installation

Windows: Download the MSI installer below

Docker:

docker compose pull && docker compose up -d

macOS (native, recommended for accurate speed tests vs Docker Desktop):

git clone https://github.com/Ozark-Connect/NetworkOptimizer.git && cd NetworkOptimizer && ./scripts/install-macos-native.sh
# or if you already have it cloned
cd NetworkOptimizer && git pull && ./scripts/install-macos-native.sh

Proxmox:

bash -c "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Ozark-Connect/NetworkOptimizer/main/scripts/proxmox/install.sh)"
# or if you just need to update
pct exec <CT_ID> -- bash -c "cd /opt/network-optimizer && docker compose pull && docker compose up -d"

For other platforms (Synology, QNAP, Unraid, native Linux), see the Deployment Guide.
