Improve how error messages are displayed, and make them more clear

When we allow exceptions to go all the way up to Flask, Flask displays them on a simple white page. Improve this so that they're displayed with styling like the rest of DeX, and provide some pointers as to what to do next. Also, go over the messages and improve the contents of the messages where possible.
