Sorry if this isn't the right place for this.
When I tried to run my code it gave me this error.
"Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to undefined function split() in C:\Phpmailer\PHPMailer-FE_v4.11_lib\class.phpmailer.php:472" etc.
When I reviewed the phpmailer class code I found that a split() function was used (twice even) but couldn't find it's definition neither within the class or in the php documentation (various types of xxx_split() exist but not just a split()). Am I missing something? Any help would be appreciated, I can provide my code and the full error message if necessary.

Okay. I found the answer. And the Answer is that I'm a dumbass. I got my download via an old stackoverflow post, I mean 13 years ago old, and I never stopped to ask whether the files I was downloaded had been updated recently. So the reason there was a split() function, which I found another forum saying was deprecated 10 years ago, was because I have a version of phpmailer from a literal decade ago. Please laugh otherwise I might cry.
