The Packages page is never displayed

After the Prepare page is complete, Cubic skips the Packages page and displays immediately the Options page.

Well, it seems I'm not the only one facing this issue - see there (which I didn't notice when I opened mine, and which search function didn't return). Nothing new since then.
I tried on another computer on which I installed the same OS, that led to the same issue.
The Qemu dummy package is installed, so it won't install twice, but still no way to select the packages to be removed or left.
Any way to have this sorted ? Or, at least, an explanation of why this happens ?

Oops ! yes, indeed... the "For Ubuntu Server 21.10 (or newer) and Ubuntu Desktop 23.04 (or newer), this page will not be shown." statement is the kind of one one never notices, since it hides among other useful information.
Well I could find that the culprit is the distro : I tried to build from another computer running 22.04, and it failed as well.
Now, the question : will there be a fix, or at least a workaround for this ?
I admit I hardly understand the explanations on the page : does sudo apt remove from the console prepare tab deserves the same goal ? Or... ?

Kind of, sudo apt remove will remove the package entirely while the page will remove it after the installation of the distro is complete. It should do the same thing but you may face other issues depending on the package you remove. I am not aware of any workarounds, I think a fix is possible but I am not sure if it will come.
