The Companion

The Companion is a chat grounded in your real health data. Unlike a generic chatbot, every answer is anchored to what GlucoPilot actually knows about you — glucose, labs, cycle, wearables, medications, conditions, and your symptom journal — and it says plainly when data is old or missing.

⚕️ It is not a doctor. It surfaces patterns, likely explanations, and specific things worth raising with your care team — it never diagnoses or tells you how to dose or change a medication.

What makes it different

  • Whole-person, not just glucose. It reasons across thyroid, hormones and cycle, inflammation, sleep, energy, mood, and medications — not only diabetes.
  • It remembers. After each exchange it quietly notes durable facts you share (symptoms, life events, how you're feeling, goals) as memories, so it keeps learning what you're going through and can compare it against your records over time. Open the Memory panel to read, add, or delete anything — it shapes future answers.
  • Multiple conversations. Keep separate threads for separate topics; your memory is shared across all of them.
  • Streaming replies with rich formatting (tables, lists), so answers appear as they're written.

Fast vs Deep

A toggle in the chat header picks which model answers, per message:

  • Fast — a quick local model. Great for big-picture questions and everyday back-and-forth.
  • Deep — a larger, slower local model for more thorough reasoning on a focused question.

Both run through whatever provider you've configured on Settings → AI (see AI and Privacy). With a local model, the whole conversation stays on your machine.

Good things to ask

  • "I've been exhausted and foggy lately — what in my data might explain it?"
  • "What do my recent labs say about my thyroid and inflammation?"
  • "Compare my time in range this week vs last week."
  • "How does my cycle line up with my symptoms and energy?"

Getting the most from it

  • Fill in Settings → Conditions / Medications / Allergies and keep up the symptom journal — the more it knows, the more grounded its answers.
  • Correct or prune the Memory panel when something's off; it's yours to edit.
  • Treat its read as a starting point for the conversation with your clinician, not a verdict.
