Expected behavior
Light blocks should normally only be able to have their light level be set by a player holding a light block (and considering they're only visible in creative, probably only in creative)
Observed/Actual behavior
Though not possible on a vanilla client, any player is able to modify the light level of any light block, even if they are in adventure or survival, and even if they are not holding a light block using a mod
Steps/models to reproduce
- Download the Visible Barriers mod
- Place down a light block in your world
- Go into survival mode or adventure mode (and if you really want to confirm, you can even deop yourself)
- Toggle on Visible Barriers
- You should be able to manipulate the light level of the light block, in survival/adventure, even if you do not have the light block on your main/off hand
