Your own AI assistant. One small file. Yours.
OpenPhoenix (call it phoenix) is a personal AI agent that lives on your computer, not in someone else's cloud. It chats with you in the terminal or on Telegram, WhatsApp, Discord, Slack, Signal, iMessage, IRC, Matrix and Mattermost — runs tools, remembers what you allow it to remember, and forgets everything else.
One static binary, ~5 MB. No installers, no runtimes, no tracking.
phoenix # chat right here in the terminal
phoenix serve # go live on your chat apps
phoenix update # stay current, checksum-verified
First run sets itself up: it finds your API keys, tests them against real models, picks one that answers, and writes a config. Migrating from OpenClaw? It carries everything — keys, Telegram, allowlists, even your assistant's personality and memory.
