Quick Start

This is the shortest supported path to a working DarkOneJSP3 installation. Read the full Installation and Upgrading page before replacing an existing customised setup.

1. Install the required components

Install compatible x64 versions of:

• foobar2000 v2 with Columns UI
• JScript Panel 3.8.5
• JSplitter 4.x, tested with 4.1.12
• Queue Viewer
• Quick Search Toolbar
• Enhanced Spectrum Analyser
• Waveform Minibar (mod)

DarkOneJSP3 supplies scripts and sample files, not third-party component DLLs.

2. Back up the current profile

Close foobar2000 and back up:

• the active foobar2000 profile;
• the current Columns UI layout or exported FCL;
• the existing DarkOneJSP3 directory; and
• user-components-x64\foo_jscript_panel3\samples plus helpers.txt.

3. Merge both package directories

Copy both top-level package directories into the location used by %fb2k_profile_path%:

DarkOneJSP3\
user-components-x64\

Do not install duplicate copies in both the portable root and a profile subdirectory.

4. Create or restore the layout

The recommended method is to build the Columns UI hierarchy from the exact Layout and Panel Map. The included FCL is an optional convenience snapshot, not the authoritative setup method.

5. Restart and check the console

After restarting foobar2000:

1. Confirm all six InfoStack tabs work.
2. Confirm Album Notes loads without a child-panel error.
3. Confirm the queue uses the native Queue Viewer or the deliberate scripted fallback.
4. Confirm the display, waveform, dividers and bottom controls align.
5. Open View → Console and check for JavaScript or [DarkOneJSP3] errors.
6. Export a fresh local FCL once the setup is confirmed.
