In the QSIPrep DWI preprocessing html output, it states that "Groups deviating by more than 4 standard deviations from the prediction had their data replaced with imputed values. q-space coordinates were forcefully assigned to shells. Field offset was attempted to be separated from participant movement. Shells were aligned post-eddy."
The reviewer's comment on "The method describes "imputed values" and "forced shell assignment." This must be unambiguous, what was imputed, how, how often, and whether it differs by group. Then, please provide QC summary and a sensitivity analysis excluding heavily corrected/imputed cases. "
Can anyone help how DWI data was imputed, and how the diffusion shells were forced to align? How can those information be extracted from the QC summary so it can be used for further statistical analysis?
Thank you.
