Hi,
Firstly, thank you for all the work you've put into this integration. It's been a great way of accessing my inverter locally via Home Assistant.
I'm currently running a Solis S6-EA1P5K-L (Model 4104), which I don't believe is currently listed as one of the tested inverter models in the documentation.
Over the past week I've been testing the integration using a direct RS485 connection via a Waveshare 2-CH RS485 to Ethernet (PoE) converter connected to the inverter's dedicated third-party RS485 port. Overall, the integration has been very stable and communicates successfully with the inverter.
Using the dedicated third-party RS485 port means I can maintain the standard Solis data logger connection while simultaneously using a local Modbus connection for Home Assistant, allowing direct comparison between Home Assistant and Solis Cloud during testing without any communication conflicts.
The inverter is paired with a Fogstar Energy FE48-16 battery (PACE 200A BMS).
During testing I've identified a few areas that may benefit from further investigation, including possible differences in register mappings or unsupported entities when compared with the inverter's reported values and Solis Cloud.
Before opening an issue, I wanted to ask what your preferred process is for validating and adding support for an untested inverter model.
I'm more than happy to help with testing and can provide:
My current setup:
I'd be happy to work through any testing you recommend if it helps validate support for this inverter and improves compatibility for future users.
Many thanks.
