Strange. Both your inverter, and S2 is compatible. It should have worked via modbus. |

Uh oh!

I have a Solis inverter and I couldn't get API access from Solis, nor Modbus-compatible firmware. I was so frustrated with this device that I won't be buying anything from them again.
So, without API integration (or control) and with Modbus not working, the only reasonable thing left was to scrape their website to get the information and (optionally, but nicely) integrate it with Home Assistant.
So I built this: https://github.com/gnacho/soliscloud-scraper
It took me a while, but now it's working 100% with the inverter and battery, getting all the data. It keeps the cloud connection alive while pulling the info without the API (they also changed the website while I was working on this, so it now works with the new site).
I hope it can be useful to others. Thanks for this project — it was an inspiration and a source of knowledge for the scraper.
PS: Anyway, soon I'll also try to get ESPHome running on the WiFi stick, so I can finally cut their cloud and have 100% local, reliable control.
