context:

For my usecase, It would be great to have Stripe connected via OAuth, especially in combination with Connect. With restricted API key I need to pass instructions to the users exactly which scopes to add and they can still possibly mess it up. With OAuth this could be pre-configured.

Need help from Pipedream core team to activate an Stripe account.

Blocked on the following:

1. oauth 2.0 access requires apps on public distribution
2. a public distribution requires a non-sandbox account, I got this error working with Stripe CLI:

"9:Sandboxes do not support public app uploads. Please switch to a non-sandbox account to upload a public app and try again.",

3. A non-sandbox account needs to actiate the account providing company, bank information:

In a sandbox, you can simulate all of Stripe’s features without moving real money. To accept real payments, you need to first activate your account and then use live mode.

4. If you try to continue with an app on private distribution, you won't get necessary screens to test oauth

If you don’t see the External test tab, verify if you’ve selected public distribution from Create a release.
