How to install

Setup Environment

Windows

1. turn on virtualization in your bios
2. run wsl --install
3. an Ubuntu terminal will pop up, follow the instructions
4. Close the terminal once done and open the command prompt
5. check the drop down menu in the tabs and press Ubuntu
6. enter commands sudo apt update and sudo apt upgrade
7. enter the command cd ~ && explorer.exe .
8. do what is in this screenshot
9. right click the Ubuntu folder and select Map network drive.
10. a window will appear, it is recommended to select U:
11. press finish and now you will be able to access your Linux environment from the explorer.
12. run the command sudo apt install -y binutils-mips-linux-gnu build-essential git libcapstone-dev pkgconf python3 gcc-mips-linux-gnu
13. enter command sudo apt install git
14. install GitHub for desktop from here

Chromebook

1. go to settings
2. go to About ChromeOS
3. go to Linux development enviroment
4. enable it (recommended to have 10 gb for linux)
5. enter commands sudo apt update and sudo apt upgrade
6. enter command sudo apt install -y binutils-mips-linux-gnu build-essential git libcapstone-dev pkgconf python3 gcc-mips-linux-gnu
7. enter command sudo apt install git

setting up the repository

1. once setupped, press file and clone repository
2. set path to U:\home\<username>, obviously replacing <username> with your Ubuntu username
3. press URL
4. enter the URL Planet-BB-Entertainment/SM64
5. a popup might show asking what are you going to do with the project, press for my own projects
