Removed redundant preprocessing steps and unified text access to use the original input string directly. This change improves code clarity and safety by avoiding unnecessary text transformations before parsing citations. - Eliminated LaTeX-related preprocessing and quote normalization - Replaced multiple references to preprocessed text with input text - Renamed loop variables for better readability and consistency
