Changes

  • Fixed package installation for systems with restricted home directory access
  • When using pkexec (polkit) to run dnf/apt as root, the root process may not have access to files in the user's home directory (due to encrypted home dirs, SELinux policies, or other security restrictions)
  • Packages are now copied to /tmp before installation, ensuring root can read the file during the install process
  • Added explicit file sync to ensure complete write before installation
  • Improved debug logging for troubleshooting install issues
