Should contents of ImagingParameters be populated by defaults?

Connecting to a PlusServer from Slicer caused a continuous stream of error messages before PlusToolkit/PlusLibData#38. Should ImagingParameters be populated by device's defaults during Connect(), or maybe even during constructor?

Is current Interson's implementation more correct than Capistrano's? Is it advantageous if I use that style in Capistrano?
