Who I am

Patrick Gibbs (mcpeezy). I build Prime Desktop, an independent open-source macOS desktop client for Prime Agent (split panes, live attach, detach-on-quit).

Why I am posting here

I read CONTRIBUTING: discussions first, no unsolicited PRs, Issues are maintainer-owned. I want to help on documentation that blocks new open-source users bringing their own endpoints.

I left a concrete docs-only fix plan there.

Summary of the problem (as a new-user operator)

• Several docs still say ~/.pi/agent/... while prime-agent uses ~/.prime/agent/...
• Quickstart does not breadcrumb into custom providers/models
• Custom endpoint path is easy to miss under Customization
• Missing simple CLI selection examples for custom provider/model pairs

What I can deliver

A focused docs PR if invited:

• path corrections
• quickstart + index discoverability
• 2–3 common custom endpoint examples
• grep clean for ~/.pi/ leftovers
• no runtime changes

Ask

If maintainers want this, please invite implementation on #534 (or say “go ahead” here). I will wait for that rather than opening a cold PR.

Happy to also help test desktop/daemon attach edge cases from the Prime Desktop side when useful.
