🚀 v1 Release Features

• Focus Tracking — Uses OpenCV’s face and eye detection to determine if you’re paying attention.
• Distraction Detection — If you look away for more than 3 seconds, a reaction is triggered.
• Custom GIF Reactions — Choose what happens when you’re distracted:
  • Fullscreen AK-47 firing
  • Explosions
  • Cat slaps
  • Or any GIF you provide!
• Sequential Reaction Playback — Reactions cycle through your chosen GIF list.
• 10s Fullscreen Display — Reactions fully take over your screen for maximum effect.
• Qt-based UI — Start/stop sessions, choose camera, set delay, and manage GIFs without touching code.
• Cross-platform Support — Works on Windows, Mac, and Linux.

📦 Installation

git clone https://github.com/<your-username>/EyesOnU.git
cd EyesOnU
python -m venv .venv
# Activate virtual environment:
#   Windows: .venv\Scripts\activate
#   Mac/Linux: source .venv/bin/activate

pip install -r requirements.txt

▶️ How to Use

Launch:

python eyesonu_qt.py

In the app:

• Refresh Cameras to detect your webcam.

• Set Delay (seconds before reaction triggers).

• Add GIFs to your reaction list.

• Hit Start Session stay in frame and focused! All the best.

📂 Included in v1

• Core distraction detection engine (OpenCV + Haar cascades)

• GIF fullscreen player (imageio + OpenCV)

• UI controls for session management

• Basic configuration options (delay, camera index, FPS)

• Sequential GIF playback

📌 Known Limitations in v1

• No sound playback yet

• No statistics or tracking dashboard

-CPU-heavy on low-end devices due to real-time detection

• Only detects distraction based on face/eye position (not posture or phone use)
