I like the idea, but I don't see a feasible implementation. Calibrating (or in other words, creating a fitting curve) would be possible and make it possible to roughly adjust the FPS, but there would still be some deviation, so it's nothing that you would be able to absolutely trust on in a match. Measuring and making microadjustments is also just too inaccurate and would not really yield better results, because the acceleration curve is probably too unpredictable. |

The ability to set fps instead of messing around with flywheel rpms
Have two optical sensor measure the darts exit fps and have the system take that information to automatically adjust the flywheel rpms to hit the desired FPS
