v2.3.0
v2.3.0 — Notifications rebuilt under the hood
Existing setups keep working — nothing to reconfigure.
What you might notice
- Better error messages when a test notification fails. Instead of a generic "failed", you get the actual reason (wrong URL, bad token, network unreachable).
- Discord notifications send in the background so they don't briefly block a sync or pull while the message is being delivered.
- Gotify tokens move from the URL into a request header. Slightly more secure — your token doesn't end up in proxy access logs anymore.
- Tokens and keys stay masked in more places (Settings panel, API responses). Helps if you screenshot Settings or share a config dump.
Why this release exists
Notification code used to be tangled into the auto-sync code, which made adding new notification types a chore. v2.3.0 separates them out so the next release can plug new types in without rewriting the auto-sync. NTFY and Apprise land in v2.4 as a result.
