Weber Connect for Home Assistant (Unofficial)

An unofficial Home Assistant add-on for Weber Connect monitoring, guided-cook context, and optional session controls.

• Local BLE is the preferred transport.
• Four stable probe slots are published through MQTT discovery.
• A one-screen control center handles discovery, pairing, probe nicknames, phone handoff, and cloud setup.
• New installs refresh local readings every 10 seconds. Optional nicknames keep the slot visible, such as Brisket · Probe 1.
• Optional bridge-owned Weber Cloud pairing lets the official app and Home Assistant receive probe data at the same time.
• Home Assistant creates entities for active recipe details, guidance, cook progress, cavity temperatures, and timers. They populate only when Weber returns that live-session data to the bridge companion.
• Experimental remote controls are disabled by default and limited to confirm/stop for an active cook plus timer start/reset.
• No Weber account password, Android capture, certificate interception, or phone secret extraction is required.

Important Scope

The bridge does not install or start recipes, change temperature targets, configure Wi-Fi, ignite an appliance, or change grill modes. Weber Cloud support uses a private, undocumented service and may change without notice.

Physical testing verified simultaneous official-app Bluetooth use and matching Home Assistant cloud probe telemetry. Recipe title, instructions, and remote commands were not returned to the independently paired bridge companion on the tested hub and remain best-effort.
