An unofficial native Home Assistant integration for the Weber Connect Smart Grilling Hub.
- Exactly four permanent probe-temperature entities, one per physical slot.
- Native Bluetooth discovery through Home Assistant adapters and active ESPHome proxies.
- Physical-confirmation setup with a private Home Assistant companion—no Weber email, password, phone secret, packet capture, or certificate interception.
- Phone + Home Assistant by default: the Weber app can use Bluetooth while Home Assistant receives current temperatures online.
- Optional Home Assistant only mode for a persistent local Bluetooth connection.
- Read-only by design. Version 3.0 does not expose recipes, instructions, targets, timers, cavities, or cooking controls.
- Installation and setup
- Connection modes and phone coexistence
- Entities and everyday use
- Troubleshooting
- Security and privacy
- Architecture
All four probe entities remain visible. A connected probe shows its
temperature. An empty slot—or a sleeping hub without a current reading—shows
Unknown with Home Assistant's probe-off icon. This does not mean the
integration or Home Assistant is offline.
Physical testing covers Home Assistant 2026.7.2 on Home Assistant Yellow, one
Weber Connect Hub running 2.0.3_7398, the Weber Android app
2.10.0.2439, and one active ESPHome proxy running ESPHome 2026.7.0. Direct
host-adapter endurance, two-proxy live failover, and other hubs, firmware,
regions, routers, and accounts remain unverified.
