the bucket 1 position keeps changing, even the home position keeps changing
but the relation of bucket 1 position to the home position is stable, although it differs per machine
we store the location on disk for persistence, and load it on setup. it is indexed by the device serial
also a new
set_bucket_1_position_to_currentfunction to set + compute + store to disk.will add a doc for it here.
