ShipIt - Cursor for Startups

AI-powered startup idea validation tool that simulates a startup's future using real market data, competitor research, and historical case studies.

Getting Started

Prerequisites

  • Node.js 18+ and npm
  • MongoDB Atlas account (or local MongoDB)
  • API Keys:
    • Google Gemini API key
    • Serper API key (or Tavily as alternative)

Installation

  1. Install dependencies:
npm install
  1. Set up environment variables:
cp .env.local .env.local.example

Edit .env.local with your API keys:

GEMINI_API_KEY=your_gemini_api_key
SERPER_API_KEY=your_serper_api_key
MONGODB_URI=mongodb+srv://...
  1. Run the development server:
npm run dev

Open http://localhost:3000 to see the app.
