=#For this simple case, the behavior does not match the docstring:
Compute an orthonormal basis N = adjoint(Nᴴ) for the kernel of the matrix A,
i.e. the nullspace of A, such that A * Nᴴ' ≈ 0 and Nᴴ * Nᴴ' ≈ I.
