The intent is to support the same devices on Windows as on Linux. There is a technical complexity to supporting <gfx11 on Windows, which has required us to do a system design assessment so that ROCm remains compatible with the Windows driver branches for that architecture going forward. We have resolved these questions in the last few weeks. The next step requires us to bring some of our windows testing infrastructure to the open source side so we can properly certify these revisions as supported. Planning has started for that but I do not yet have an ETA. Until both of those items are done, gfx10 support will remain in the category of "likely works but untested". |

Hello everyone,
I have a question I’d like to ask.
Currently, on Linux, the gfx1030 architecture (found in GPUs like the RX 6900, V620, etc.) is supported by ROCm 7, as confirmed in the official documentation (https://rocm.docs.amd.com/projects/install-on-linux/en/latest/reference/system-requirements.html). However, I’ve noticed that on Windows, although ROCm 7 has been released, it doesn’t seem to support gfx1030 yet.
I’d like to know if the ROCm team has any plans to improve support for the gfx1030 architecture on Windows in the future. Are there any currently available workarounds or methods to make it work?
If there are any related updates or suggestions, I’d greatly appreciate the information. Thank you very much!
