Best recommendation for Ryzen AI MAX+ 395 (gfx1151) end users on Linux with 7.0 kernel?

I've tried using the easy ROCm installs than come from the systems maintainers with Fedora 43 and Ubuntu 26.04, both install ROCm 7.0 flawlessly but unfortunately it's not new enough for this CPU/NPU and Radeon 8060S GPU.

ROCm7.2 installation recommendations for these OS versions, which both run on the new Linux 7.0 kernel, don't exist (yet) in the official documentation and even ROCm 7.12.0 preview requires the old 6.14 kernel and has no instructions for Ubuntu 26.04.

And from the issues I've read, installing ROCm 7.2 on Ubuntu 26.04 with Linux Kernel 7.0 fails or is a hassle at least. As an end user—should I venture into the hell of dependencies and version conflicts to cobble together a working ROCm installation on my Ubuntu 26.04, or would I save myself the trouble by installing ROCm on Ubuntu 24.04 as a multiboot system instead? But I'd really like to have ROCm on my main system.

I wish I only had to wait a few months until the current ROCm versions were tested and adapted for Kernel 7.0 / Ubuntu 26.04, allowing me to achieve a hassle-free installation. Anyone can tell me about the roadmap? How soon until ROCm 8.0 will be released?
