Love this idea, though it will take some significant effort. I have definitely wanted to implement something like this though. |

Problem
With flexible shelves described in #3128, some consumer devices and their connections would be nice to preview in 3D (Xbox Series X, HP microserver). These are visually very distinct, and don't have a typical size in the rack).
Positioning them either in current way (column / row) or flexibly (offset in mm from a particular corner of the rack) would make for a very flexible and accurate overview of a homelab rack shelved with consumer devices in it.
Proposed solution
This is solely a quality of life FR, not an actual need, but if it were implemented:
Example: GitHub.com has an STL file renderer, but that does not allow for rendering textured objects.
