Getting Started

Requirements

• macOS 14.0 or later.
• No separate SF Symbols installation is required. InfraCanvas uses the symbols provided by macOS and automatically falls back to a built-in symbol when a newer symbol is unavailable.

Install From The DMG

1. Download the latest DMG from the Releases page.
2. Open the DMG.
3. Drag InfraCanvas.app into Applications.
4. Launch InfraCanvas.

The GitHub release DMG is Developer ID signed and Apple-notarized.

Create A Board

InfraCanvas opens to a blank canvas. Add components from the left catalog, then arrange them on the board.

Useful first steps:

• Add devices, services, networks, data stores, or process elements.
• Use the Connect tool to create links between components.
• Select connectors to edit labels, routing style, and connector type.
• Export diagrams to PNG or PDF when you need to share a snapshot.

Connector Types

Connector type describes the meaning of the relationship:

• Generic
• Ethernet
• Wi-Fi
• Fiber
• VPN
• Power / PoE
• Dependency

Connector style controls the route shape:

• Straight
• Elbow

These are separate so a connector can be, for example, Wi-Fi + Elbow or Ethernet + Straight.
