They've been true all the time but I admit that I'm not 100% sure that the error regarding unknown decoder was not in the logs before I switched to using your script.

The default config has "use-hevc-qsv-decoder = True" set to false, please set it to false and try with that. If you could also post the output of your ffmpeg version, that may be helpful.

Lastly, are you using the latest version of the installation script? It may have been updated since you set it up originally.

I would have to create a wrapper script, that only removes and pulls down the script everytime at launch. Basically that script would never change, and allow me to update the others freely.

Once you've updated, be sure you also set "use-hevc-qsv-decoder = False"

I updated the script but only a forced imaged update will fix it, reboot won't install it because it will detect pip is already setup.

From the container cli, you can manually install it with this command "pip install tmdbsimple", but this should be fixed moving forward.

I'm not sure you can count it fixed yet, because that is copying the video, not converting it. You need to try to convert. But I think your config file configuration was the issue, you deviated too much from the default that caused it to break..

The only thing I changed was the use-hevc-qsv-decoder. That isn't too much, I'd say. And it was working without any issues with that at True when I was still using Michael'a containers.

Ok, I have a concern with your scripts that I think is significant.

1. For mp4-automated-installer.bash you're checking for the existence of the /config/custom-cont-init.d/mp4_automator.bash file and if it does you run the script and remove it afterwards.

If for whatever reason, mp4_automator.bash is existing in the container because of a failed removal from a past run of the mp4-automated-installer.bash there will be two problems:

1.1 When the container restarts, it won't know which between the scripts should it run first causing confusion between multiple scripts existing in custom-cont-init.d.
    Suggestion: Modify the installer script so that it will download `mp4_automator.bash` to a folder inside the container other than custom-cont-init-.d. You don't need it to be in that folder anyway because it is not a startup script. It is a script that is run by the installer script.
1.2 If you ever update `mp4_automator.bash`, the version that will be run after the first container restart will be the old one because your script runs the existing version.
    Suggestion: Create a logic where it updates the existing script first before running it. So remove `mp4_automator.bash` if existing, re-download it, and run it accordingly.

2. For mp4-automator-automated-updates.bash you're checking for the existence of the /config/custom-cont-init.d/mp4-automated-installer.bash file and if it does you run the script and remove it afterwards.

If for whatever reason, mp4-automated-installer.bash is existing in the container because of a failed removal from a past run of the mp4-automator-automated-updates.bash there will be two problems:

2.1 When the container restarts, it won't know which between the scripts should it run first causing confusion between multiple scripts existing in custom-cont-init.d.
    Suggestion: Same suggestion as above. The only script that should ever exist in custom-cont-init.d should be `mp4-automator-automated-updates.bash` (the parent wrapper script). Use another folder for the other scripts.

2.2 When the container restarts for the first time, `mp4-automated-installer.bash` will be removed and nothing will happen. You should restart the container the second time around for it to proceed with the whole installation process.
    Suggestion: Same suggestion as above. If `mp4-automated-installer.bash` is existing, remove it, re-download it, and run it accordingly.
