Yes. This is the safest, most compatible fix. When a field is masked:
The field behaves exactly like a vanilla FS25 field for the duration of the contract. let the completion barn parties begin!!!! |

Hi @TisonK and @Arissani,
I really love the FieldSentry proposal! I would like to ask a clarification regarding the "NPC Contract fields" rule, as it could solve a major issue currently present in the mod.
Right now, when taking harvest contracts for NPC farms, the soil simulation applies heavy nutrient/disease penalties to those fields (since the AI doesn't manage its soil according to the mod). As a result, the combine yields significantly fewer liters, making it mathematically impossible to deliver the grain volume required by the vanilla contract system to successfully complete the mission.
Will the implementation of FieldSentry completely bypass the custom yield modifier on fields under an active contract?
If FieldSentry completely disables the soil simulation path for these fields during the mission, it will restore vanilla yield behaviors and finally fix the "uncompletable contracts" bug. I just wanted to make sure this specific issue was covered by your definition of "masking the field so we do not fight the contract."
Thanks for your amazing work on this mod!
