VellumVault 0.1.5 Public Alpha

This public alpha upgrades the local character creator and party sheets into a cleaner Red Vellum original character system.

  • Rebuilt Character Creator as a guided flow: Basics, Species, Class, Subclass, Background, Ability Scores, Skills & Proficiencies, Combat, Equipment, Spells, Personality, and Review.
  • Added SRD 5.2.1 / Creative Commons attribution in-app and kept bundled rules data legally conservative.
  • Wired enabled Creator Forge content into character dropdowns for custom species, classes, subclasses, backgrounds, feats, spells, and equipment.
  • Added class and level filtering for spell choices where supported by local data.
  • Cleaned up Party Sheets with a session-ready stat header and clearer sections for overview, ability scores, saves, combat, equipment, spells, features, personality, notes, and campaign links.
  • Kept D&D Beyond PDF import local-only and improved the import review language so imported data is treated as a draft.

Notes

VellumVault is a local-first desktop campaign manager for long-form homebrew and 5e-style tabletop campaigns. It includes campaign dashboards, NPCs, factions, locations, sessions, quest and hook tracking, party sheets, local D&D Beyond PDF import, DM Screen, Session Prep, Encounter Tracker, backups, restore points, and local SQLite storage.

Privacy posture:

  • No account required.
  • No cloud sync or telemetry.
  • No hosted generation or model-provider integration.
  • Installer builds contain the app only, not private campaign databases, backups, restore points, or notes.

Windows SmartScreen may warn on early unsigned builds because the installer is new. Verify downloads come from this repository and match the hash above.
