A visual library of structural archetypes for Kristal knowledge-state workspaces.
Arketype helps answer a practical question: what structure best fits the knowledge you want to preserve? A procedure tends to follow steps; a taxonomy branches into classes; a system-state registry compares observations; a follow-up casefile gathers records; a research map connects milestones and referenced proofs. Those are different structures and should not be forced into one universal template.
Arketype 1.4.0 provides 19 archetypes, 19 neutral workspaces, 14 design-only composition recipes, 5 situated use-case profiles, and 24 labeled diagrams built from JSON inventories. The accompanying offline HTML catalogue uses a consistent visual grammar and the supplied brand identity.

Archetype ≠ template ≠ instance ≠ domain standard.
- An archetype is a design pattern for a kind of knowledge structure.
- A template is an empty, local Authoring Kit workspace that illustrates the archetype.
- An instance is a newly initialized workspace with its own identity.
- A use-case profile is a scenario showing how one or more archetypes may be useful.
- A composition recipe is an unresolved proposal about relationships and responsibilities; it does not merge canons or authorize publication.
The repository's HTML catalogue is the preferred visual UI: catalogue/index.html. These wiki pages are an English-language documentation companion to the actual repository data; they do not replace its JSON inventory or the Kristal Framework.
Scope: Arketype is a non-normative design library. Technical checks verify the local workspace envelope, not the truth of source material, legal sufficiency, clinical fitness, or authority to execute a protocol. It does not publish, synchronize or activate Kristals.
Desktop launcher: Desktop Launcher · Developer Ops.
Kristal v10 integration: Ecosystem Compatibility (local read-only diagnostics) and Desktop Launcher. Konstellation remains the viewer of actual Kristal instances and concepts.
