Tandem 0.3.2

Tandem 0.3.2 makes installing easier.

• One download link that always gets the newest installer: tandem-windows-installer.exe.
• Simpler installer: one Install button, no folder to pick, and a finish page that starts OBS for you and can open the quick start guide.
• It asks you to close OBS if it's open, and warns if OBS isn't installed or is older than 32.2.
• Tandem now appears in Windows Settings > Apps > Installed apps, which is where you remove it. Updating keeps your settings and keys.
• Windows may show "Windows protected your PC" because the installer isn't code-signed yet: click More info > Run anyway.

Tandem 0.3.1

Tandem 0.3.1 adds links for finding your keys, and fixes several bugs.

Where's my key?

• Every stream key field now links to the page that shows the key: Twitch, Kick and YouTube Studio (Go live > Stream).
• The YouTube chat settings link to the step-by-step API key guide and straight to the Google Cloud pages that enable the YouTube Data API and create the key.
• The Kick help text now names the right menu (Channel > Stream URL & Key).

Fixes

• Simple mode no longer resets a chat channel or YouTube key you changed in Settings, or a target you changed in Advanced mode.
• Fixed a memory corruption in the target editor after changing the platform or protocol (inherited from obs-multi-rtmp).
• Two targets sharing an encoder with its own output scene: stopping one no longer cuts off the other (inherited from obs-multi-rtmp).
• A damaged tandem.json is kept as tandem.json.broken instead of being overwritten, and its content is never written to the log.
• A target deleted while still stopping now frees its stream settings.

Tandem 0.3.0

Tandem 0.3.0 shows emotes in the chat dock and the overlay.

• Twitch emotes, including channel and subscriber emotes, and Kick emotes.
• 7TV, BetterTTV and FrankerFaceZ: Tandem loads each channel's emote sets plus the global sets, the same ones viewers see with those browser extensions, so words like catJAM or KEKW show as the emote. 7TV works for Twitch, Kick and YouTube channels; BetterTTV and FrankerFaceZ for Twitch.
• YouTube emoji show as normal emoji.
• Animated emotes animate in the overlay (the dock shows their first frame).
• Turn the extension emotes off in Tandem Chat > Settings, or add emotes=0 to the overlay URL.
• Emote images only load from the platforms' and emote services' own image servers; the overlay's security policy allows nothing else.

Tandem 0.2.0

Tandem 0.2.0 adds Simple mode: tick the platforms you want, paste your stream keys, press Go Live.

• One card per platform (Twitch, Kick, YouTube) with a "Stream here" checkbox, the stream key and optional chat; fields appear only when you need them.
• Tandem picks the encoder for you: the best H.264 encoder your computer has (NVIDIA NVENC, AMD AMF, Intel QuickSync, Apple VideoToolbox, otherwise x264), constant bitrate, 2-second keyframes, and a bitrate that fits OBS's output resolution and frame rate. Lower/Higher presets for slow or fast connections.
• Every platform shares that one encode. Go Live works on its own; ticked platforms also start with OBS's own Start Streaming.
• Advanced mode keeps every per-target setting (custom servers, SRT/WHIP, reusing OBS's encoder, separate encoders, scenes, audio tracks). Switch at the top of the dock; both modes edit the same targets.

Upgrading from 0.1.0 keeps your targets; if you already have targets, Tandem opens in Advanced mode, and you can switch to Simple at any time.

Tandem 0.1.0

First release of Tandem: stream to Twitch, Kick and YouTube at once from one OBS encode, and read all three chats in one dock.

Requires OBS Studio 32.2 or newer. Forked from obs-multi-rtmp 0.7.4.4 by SoraYuki; your existing obs-multi-rtmp targets are imported on first start.

Highlights

• Twitch, Kick and YouTube presets, Import from OBS, per-target "go live with OBS" checkbox.
• Shared encoder by default: three platforms cost about the same CPU/GPU as one.
• Reconnects follow OBS's own settings, and endless connect-then-drop loops are detected and stopped with an explanation.
• Unified, read-only chat dock (Twitch anonymous, Kick public feed, YouTube with your own API key) and an optional local chat overlay.
• Stream keys and the YouTube API key are stored in Windows Credential Manager.
• No accounts, no cloud services, no telemetry.

Many bugs reported against obs-multi-rtmp are fixed, including the reconnect loop, stopping a target that is still connecting, sync stop after a server disconnect, leaked audio encoders, and an uninstaller that deleted every OBS plugin. Full list: CHANGELOG.md.
