Can't download markdown files

Describe the bug

We can't download markdown (.md) files.
Tested in Ubuntu 24.04 LTS using the snap package version 4.14.1, other file extensions don't share this problem.
We think it can have to do with the recently added markdown viewer.

How to Reproduce

1. Share a text file with the .md extension, you can do this from the app no problem.
2. Press the download button.
3. The markdown viewer opens showing the file contents.
4. Nothing else happens in regards to the download, the download options window doesn't come up either.
5. If you go to the downloads menu you can see it hanged there.

Describe your Expected behavior

We should be able to see the file using the markdown viewer when opening the file, and download it to our filesystem using the download button.
