Releases: RofiantAI/Rofiant
Release list
Desktop v0.2.3
What's new
- Fix: rebuilds against the Fly backend URL — v0.2.2's binaries were built before that secret was updated and still pointed at the now-dead Railway URL, breaking any backend call (delete conversation, transcription, LSP, etc).
Full changelog
Desktop v0.2.2
What's new
- Flathub packaging: added a Flathub manifest, OARS content rating, and renamed the app id to
com.rofiant.desktop. - Backend: moved off Railway to Fly.io.
- Security: hardened the LSP workspace-mirror path guard against path traversal (CodeQL-flagged, now fixed and covered by a regression test).

Desktop desktop-v0.2.1
Fixes
- Code blocks lost their text color in light mode; fixed, and code the model sends without proper fencing now gets boxed with a copy button too.
- Effort slider markers were invisible in light mode.
- Danger-zone rows (deactivate/delete account) had cramped spacing.
Added
- Confirm dialogs for deactivate account, delete account, reset settings to defaults, and clear local cache.
- Skills now only apply when explicitly invoked with
/<skill-name>in a message, instead of every installed skill silently affecting every conversation forever. - Voice transcription is now gated by plan.
Changed
- Simplified the onboarding screen.
Desktop desktop-v0.2.0
What's new
- Composio integration: connect third-party apps (Gmail, Slack, GitHub, Notion, and more) and let the agent act on them —
composio_connect_accountstarts the OAuth link,composio_actionruns actions on the connected account. - Local filesystem tools: the agent can read, write, and list files on your own machine (via the desktop app), not just in the sandboxed workspace — with approval prompts before it touches anything.
- Security: bumped
dompurifyto 3.4.14 (transitive via monaco-editor) to close a flagged vulnerability.
Breaking
- App identifier changed:
com.rofiant.kirobot→com.rofiant.desktop. Existing installs won't auto-update from this identifier change — a fresh install may be needed.
Desktop desktop-v0.1.4
Highlights
- Custom OpenAI-compatible provider support (Settings → Providers)
- Agent run timeline and tool-approval dialog in chat
- New settings: spellcheck, code-block word wrap, notification sound, default notifications for new chats
- Fixed the per-chat Notifications toggle: it rendered its thumb outside the switch track, and never actually requested OS notification permission (was requested from a non-gesture context, so browsers silently refused it)
- Web search tool via Brave Search API, with the model given current time and the user's timezone for relative-time questions
KiroBots Desktop 0.1.3
What's new
- Start chatting immediately: sending the first message now creates its conversation automatically.
- Added CAPTCHA challenges to sign-in and signup, email-confirmation guidance, and clearer session errors.
- Refreshed KiroBot branding, installer descriptions, application artwork, and every platform icon.
- Improved provider settings by showing supported Claude models and offering cleanup for previously saved OpenAI or Gemini keys.
Security and reliability
- Added a desktop Content Security Policy and request limits for public API routes.
- Moved LSP access tokens out of WebSocket URLs while preserving compatibility with older desktop clients.
- Fixed the auto-updater endpoint and added recoverable check/install failure states.
- Conversation deletion now waits for workspace cleanup, preventing unreachable sandbox resources.
- Preserved the existing installer identity so 0.1.3 upgrades 0.1.2 instead of installing beside it.
Experience improvements
- Provider setup opens the correct Settings section.
- Search empty states, slash commands, accessibility labels, and workspace-panel state are clearer.
- Failed bulk deletion and authentication initialization no longer leave the app stuck or falsely report success.

Fixed
- Fixed
Could not create default EGL display: EGL_BAD_PARAMETERon rolling Linux distributions and mixed Wayland/EGL environments. - Stopped bundling Ubuntu Wayland client libraries that conflicted with host EGL and GBM graphics drivers.

- Windows x64, Linux x64, macOS Intel, and macOS Apple Silicon builds passed.
- The release AppImage was inspected to confirm the conflicting libraries are absent.

Linux users should replace the 0.1.0 AppImage with KiroBots_0.1.1_amd64.AppImage.
