[ENHANCEMENT] add Venice AI provider

Users may not want to send all their telemetry data to an AI frontier lab (or if they have to, make sure it's anonymised!). Venice solves this problem by providing a platform for private inference.

I've analyzed this issue and here's my proposed implementation plan for adding Venice AI as a provider:

Venice AI offers an OpenAI-compatible API at https://api.venice.ai/api/v1, so it follows the same pattern as existing providers like Unbound. Here are the files that need to be created or modified:

1. Type definitions (packages/types/src/)

• Create providers/venice.ts -- define veniceDefaultModelId and veniceDefaultModelInfo
• Update providers/index.ts -- export the new module and add Venice to getProviderDefaultModelId()
• Update provider-settings.ts:
  • Add "venice" to the providerNames array (as a typical provider, not dynamic -- Venice does not appear to have a public model listing API)
  • Create veniceSchema with veniceApiKey and extend apiModelIdProviderModelSchema
  • Register it in providerSettingsSchemaDiscriminated and providerSettingsSchema
  • Add Venice to MODELS_BY_PROVIDER with a curated list of models
• Update global-settings.ts -- add "veniceApiKey" to SECRET_STATE_KEYS

2. API handler (src/api/)

• Create providers/venice.ts -- a handler class extending BaseProvider using the OpenAI SDK, pointed at https://api.venice.ai/api/v1 (similar to Unbound but simpler since Venice uses standard OpenAI-compatible responses)
• Update providers/index.ts -- export VeniceHandler
• Update index.ts (buildApiHandler) -- add case "venice" returning new VeniceHandler(options)

3. Shared utilities (src/shared/)

• Update ProfileValidator.ts -- add case "venice" to extract apiModelId

4. WebView UI (webview-ui/src/)

• Create components/settings/providers/Venice.tsx -- provider config component with API key input and model picker
• Update components/settings/ApiOptions.tsx -- import and render Venice component, add to model field mapping
• Add i18n strings for veniceApiKey and getVeniceApiKey in src/i18n/locales/en/settings.json

5. Venice model list
Based on Venice's docs, I'll include models like llama-3.3-70b, llama-3.1-405b, deepseek-r1-671b, qwen-2.5-coder-32b, etc. with their specs (context windows, token limits, pricing if available).

6. Tests

• Add unit tests for the Venice handler (src/api/providers/__tests__/venice.spec.ts)
• Verify existing tests still pass

This follows the exact same pattern used by Unbound, xAI, SambaNova, and other OpenAI-compatible providers.

@roomote Seems OK to me. You should be using the more modern models (glm, trinity, etc...) though. llama-3.3-70b is extremely old

Thanks for the feedback @joshua-mo-143! I'll use the more modern Venice models (glm, trinity, etc.) instead of the older ones like llama-3.3-70b. I'll proceed with the implementation and open a PR shortly.

Opened a draft PR with the Venice AI provider implementation: #12117

Uses modern models (glm-4-32b as default, trinity-v1, deepseek-r1-671b, deepseek-v3-0324, qwen-2.5-coder-32b, llama-3.3-70b) as suggested. All tests and type checks pass. Feedback welcome!
