What specific problem does this solve?

Current situation:

Users can use 'Cmd + .' to quickly switch to the next mode. If a user presses it multiple times and misses the desired mode, they have to repeatedly use 'Cmd + .' multiple times to re-select the correct mode.

Therefore, I would like to request the addition of the 'Cmd + Shift + .' shortcut to quickly select the previous mode.
