When I minimize all applications, the portals disappear, but as soon as I maximize any application, they return. How can I fix this?

(sry for bad english), I had this problem since purchased the app and cant remove it, also the app is kinda laggy idk why, but the main problem is portals dissappear when i fold all apps by the button in right bottom corner on windows, how to fix this?

If the work-around in the thread above doesn't work, here's an alternative using a couple open-source utilities:

• Download AutoHotKey: https://www.autohotkey.com/

  • Save the following script with a .ahk extension, like AutoHotkey-Win-D_Portals.ahk

        ; Minimize all Windows
        Shell := ComObject("Shell.Application")
        Shell.MinimizeAll()
    
        ; Short sleep to allow Windows to finish minimizing

            WinActivate("ahk_exe Portals.exe")

  • Create a shortcut for the above .ahk script and place in C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\StartUp so it will run at Windows startup for all users.

• The above can't intercept the Show desktop button on the far-right of the Taskbar, so disable it:

  • Open Windows Settings, search for show desktop, click the result, and un-check Select the far corner of the taskbar to show the desktop

• Download/install Nilesoft Shell: https://nilesoft.org/

  • Modify \imports\taskbar.nss
    • Comment-out the existing Desktop entry like this: //item(title=title.desktop image=icon.desktop cmd=command.toggle_desktop)
    • Add this Desktop entry: item(title='Show Desktop' sep=both image=icon.desktop cmd=key.send(key.win, 'd'))
  • Run Nilesoft Shell as administrator, Register
  • Right-click on Taskbar and Show Desktop
