Aligning FARM-ES v3 inputs & outputs with a RuFaS run

Hi RuFaS team,

I would like to understand whether it’s possible to fully align a RuFaS run with FARM-ES v3, such that both inputs and outputs are directly comparable.

Specifically, I’m trying to determine:

1. Whether there is documentation or a reference configuration that maps FARM-ES v3 inputs to corresponding RuFaS parameters (including any overrides or non-default assumptions used in FARM-ES).
2. Whether FARM-ES v3 outputs correspond directly to existing RuFaS output variables, or whether FARM-ES applies additional post-processing, aggregation, or external calculations.
3. If there is a recommended workflow to reproduce FARM-ES v3–like results using RuFaS alone (e.g., specific parameter settings + post-processing scripts).

My goal is to be able to replicate or closely match a RuFaS run with a FARM-ES v3 run, with transparent inputs and outputs.

Any guidance, references, or examples would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Just wanted to follow up here in the discussion thread, since when I saw your questions here I connected with the FARM ES team and they mentioned you were already scheduled to meet with them.

Now that you’ve had a chance to connect, let us know if you have further questions about RuFaS runs. Also note that we've started adding some basic guidance re: changes to RuFaS input and output variables in changelog notes. Hopefully the changelog notes make it easier to update input files and output filters accordingly!
