Option : integrate linked highlights in the pdf. Break link to linked highlights in note and keep them

Hello,
i highlighted much text in a pdf with auto copy and auto paste and this is a great workflow that works well for me.
Later i changed the colour setup in the settings and learnd that this could delete all preview colours because they lose the connection.
Would be the following workflow possible?

• doing all the linking and working in the file
• after finishing this burn all linked annotations as highlights in the pdf, so that the colour can not get lost through changes in the settings or deleting the not file
• burn all notes in the note and just leave the link to the pdf so that the notes stay even if the pdf is gone.

a general question to Obsidian would be for me if i can the which file is missing if the pdf to the note is gone. I would like to have something like a relink manager than i change names or positions in the explorer... but this had nothing directly to do with pdf++.

What are you thinking about the first idea with burning highlightet annotations that are linked in a not in the pdf over an option.
