hey, the pick-colour-first flow exists afaik, its the "select text to copy" toggle in the ribbon. with it on, every selection copies a link using whatever colour and format the toolbar palette has set, no clicking after for hotkeys, bind "copy link to selection or annotation" in settings, the readme says it cant run from the command palette which is propably why u didnt find it. lmk if that does it |

Uh oh!

I am looking to avoid having to click on a particular colour (or go through the right-click menus) every time I would like to add a highlight to the file. Is there any way to replicate the behaviour found for instance in Preview on OSX (and it seems this also works in its own way with backlink highlighting) where I can select a colour and a copy template from the top toolbar, and write highlights upon selection?
In other words, in my current workflow, it doesn't seem to be possible to produce a highlight by clicking the colour first, then dragging and selecting; instead, I have to select text first, then click or choose type of highlight.
If this is not a current feature, is it at least possible to have a hotkey for applying a particular combination of colour and copy template without needing to click onto the top toolbar or right-click and going through the menus? (it seems from the response to #64 that this should be possible, though I haven't been able to locate this in the settings.)
Thank you!
