45-year-old Drik Vandenberg is a law professor at the University of Tennessee College of Law. In his free time, he enjoys backpacking in the Smokies, road biking, and board games with his close-knit friend group. Vandenberg considers himself a great writer and rhetor, but doesn't consider himself very good in art, science, or math. but he is a bit of a techie, and uses Android because he likes the freedom it gives him to connect microSD cards and sideload apps. He is paid $145,000/year, and holds a J.D. from the University of Tennessee and a B.A. in English from the University of South Carolina. Vandenberg loves teaching and especially loves the in-class discussions that occur when he calls on students to discuss material from the latest reading. He tries to be fair and call on all students equally, but he is concerned that he may be subconsciously calling on the most talkative students the most. He is also wishes that he was able to easily monitor student in-class performance over time to ensure he is successfully covering the material. Vanderberg plans to use our app to track each student's in-class performance over time and to also call on everyone in a mathematically fair way.

39-year-old Ben Long is a computer science professor at the University of Southern California. He got his B.S. and PhD in computer science from the University of South Carolina. As a professor doing research, he doesn't have much free time due to constantly reading new academic papers and doing work for courses he teaches. He spends his small free time with his family and tries to limit his interaction with the school. To make his interaction with students outside of class as minimal as possible, he wants to make sure his students understand the material during the class. To accomplish this, he employs popcorn-calling on students so they are prepared. Unfortunately, it takes effort he doesn't want to spend to keep track of who he's called on and if they are answering well. Long plans to use our app to minimize his effort on maximizing the preparedness of his students.
