Deadfire Stutter Fix 1.0.2
How to see that the fix is running. After the first area load of a launch, the combat log shows "Deadfire Stutter Fix 1.0.2 active." Turn it off with [General] ShowActiveMessage = false. No change to the fixes themselves.
Install / update: BepInEx 5 (win x64) + DXVK (required: on plain DX11 the fix alone is not smooth), then put DeadfireStutterFix.dll in BepInEx\plugins\ (replace the old one). Full steps, results and known limits are in the README.
Tested on Steam build v5.0.0.0040, one PC.

Deadfire Stutter Fix 1.0.1
Saves: one hitch instead of two. The garbage collection after a save now runs inside the game's own save frame instead of 0.2 s after the file is written. Every area transition autosaves, so 1.0.0 gave a second short hitch (~100 ms) after each transition and each quicksave. New setting [Heap] CollectInSaveFrame (default true; false = 1.0.0 behaviour).

Deadfire Stutter Fix 1.0.0
First public release. Fixes four measured causes of combat stutter in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire:
- Garbage collector: heap pre-grown at startup; one collection right after each area load and each save, behind the loading screen.
- Corpse colliders: built after combat ends instead of mid-fight (22-44 ms each).
- Combat tooltip cleanup: stops the tooltip pile-up that made fights heavier with every reload.
- Icon atlas prewarm: removes the ~100 ms freeze in the first fight after launching the game.
